"Cheiron Teaching Asklepios", marble relief 40x50cm

The relief of Cheiron teaching Asklepios was carved from a discarded tomb stone, 

and was commissioned by the deceased's family.

Relief sculpture in bronze on the wall of the old Academy building at Rapenburg in Leiden

diameter 140cm. "William the Silent grants the city of Leiden a university, the first in Holland, 

as a reward for its citizens' heroic resistance during the Spanish siege."
